The 2014 gardening season has begun! All garden plots at the Cavell Park Community Garden have now been assigned. If you forget your plot number, please contact us at CavellParkCommunityGarden@gmail.com. New numbers have been painted on the beds, so please check your number carefully. You can view a copy of the 2014 garden plan on our documents page.We encourage everyone to visit their personal garden plots as often as possible. On Saturdays between 1pm and 3pm, you will often find fellow gardeners there for informal garden work days. The work days are generally dedicated to working on the communal beds (labelled with a "C"). So bring a pair of gloves, a trowel and lend a hand! (Weeding is usually high on the list of things to do)!
It is still early in the season and sometimes plots become available again. If you would like to added to our waiting list, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our registration form can be found on our documents page. If you were unable to secure a personal plot this year, there are still opportunities to help with the communal plots. Contact us to find out more.
The Annual General Meeting of the Cavell Park Community Garden was held on May 11, 2014 and we elected a new Board of Directors. We still have one or two seats available, so if you would like to join the Board, contact us.
Happy gardening everyone!
